Registration will open two weeks prior to outing. Parents, if your child has been on an big game (deer, audad or hog) outing in the last 30 days, we ask you to put your child on this waiting list to allow for other kids who haven't been on outings yet to sign up first.
This is a parent/child management deer hunt at the NSSA in San Antonio. This outing is a youth FIRST HUNT, which is for beginning youth hunters who have not harvested a big game animal, never been hunting or participated on a CTO big game outing. There's room for 6 parent/child pairs. Cost is $60 for CTO members and $75 non-members. Grants are available for youth participants in need, contact Kim Potts at 210-380-7125 for details. - This is a YOUTH FIRST HUNT. First Hunts are for young men that have not harvested a big game animal, never hunted or participated on a CTO big game outing.
- CTO will provide well-balanced meals during the outing. We do not provide candy or sodas. Youth participants are allowed to bring their own snack if desired.
- Please review the weather for local updates concerning San Antonio, TX when packing clothing for the hunt
- CTO has all the hunting equipment needed for the hunt. Bring clothes, toiletries, sleeping bag/pillow, headlamp.
- As this is a wilderness outing, all details are subject to change or be revised with short notice.
