Cross Trail Outfitters and Texas Parks & Wildlife will offer hunter's education on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 10 a.m.  to 2 pm, at 

This enhanced hunter's ed class requires youth participants age 9 to 16 to complete a 2 hour online portion of the course prior to the field course. Once the online portion is complete, participants print of the quiz results and bring it to complete the field portion of the class on Sept. 23. 

The class will be taught by Marshall Godfrey. The cost of the class is $15, and lunch and drinks will be provided. The maximum number of students is 20. 

The online course work may be challenging for youth without adult assistance. It is also recommended that younger students be accompanied by an adult during the field course. You will also need a current Outdoor Annual (available wherever hunting licenses are sold) or refer to the digital Outdoor Annual  to complete the Texas Regulations quiz.

Part 1 must be completed prior to the Sept. 23 field course: Follow this link to the TPWD online course. After completing the online homework of Part 1, print out the results and present to TPWD certified instructor at the Field Day on Sept. 23. For the free TPWD online course, print each chapter's quiz results. 

Part 2:  Attend a Field Course with a TPWD certified instructor. The fee for the Field Course is $15.00.
