NOTE: Registration will open 2 weeks prior to the outing. We ask that kids that have been on an outing in the last 30 days to hold off registering to allow other kids who have not been on an outing the opportunity to register. If there are still spots available the week of the hunt, then any kids can register.
What & Where: Parent/Child management deer hunt at the JHA Ranch near George West.
Who can participate: This outing is open to one parent/guardian plus a child, both members and non-members. Kids will be harvesting management deer while parent and guide sit with them in the blind. Must be registered to attend. Pick up and drop off points in San Antonio or near the ranch.
What to bring: Participants will need a current youth hunting license (available at Academy, Walmart, HEB, etc. for $7). CTO has all the gear needed for the outings, kids just need to bring clothes, toiletries, headlamp, sleeping bag and pillow. A more detailed packing list will be sent out with the liability paperwork.
Cost: The cost for this outing is $60 for CTO Members and $80 for non-members.
