Ellis County

"Guiding the Next Generation to Christ Through the Outdoors".  The Ellis County Chapter of Cross Trail Outfitters, CTO, serves kids in the community.  We are a hunting and fishing club for boys and girls between the ages of  7 - 20.  CTO teaches a safe, ethical, and legal way for all persons to conduct themselves while participating in God's glorious outdoor creation; combined with sharing our faith in Jesus Christ.

The Ellis County CTO Chapter usually meets the first Sunday of each month at the Outdoorsman Church of God in Midlothian for a Sportsmen's event to learn an outdoor skill along with a spiritual devotion. Please refer to the EVENT calendar for details of upcoming events.  I personally hope that you'll bring your children, or a friends child or teen, so that our team of skilled guides can help in the appreciation of God's awesomeness.

Sincerely.

Rev. Don Lott

Upcoming Events

Upcoming Spring Youth Outings

March/April/ May Hog Hunts and Fishing Trips:

We have several trips planned but the dates are not posted because of multiple school spring break dates. Several in our chapter attend schools outside Ellis County. These hunts are by invitation for one and two persons at a time for those in our chapter.

April/May Annual Spring Turkey Hunt: (dates and locations undecided)

May – Schools are letting out and our fishing trips are increased for white bass, black bass, stripers and hybrids. All the trips are fully guided boat excursions on the various impoundments near us. These trips, though frequent through the spring and summer months, are random and by invitation only for any CTO member. All members will be asked at one time or another but only two will be invited at one time on boat outings except when a pontoon is used.

CTO Youth Community Service Projects

In order to instill a servants heart among CTO kids, we encourage CTO families and youth to participate in ongoing community service projects. In addition, community service hours now can be applied towards outing, membership and summer camp fees. We will track this through a community service verification form. Just download, print, complete the form and return to the address listed.
