Join us for the 13th Annual CTO Texas Dove Hunt and BBQ Benefit on September 18! Enjoy world class dove hunting in Poteet, Texas, while also supporting Cross Trail Outfitters. Proceeds from this event will support Cross Trail Outfitters chapters across Texas to help get more kids in the outdoors in God's creation.
Along with the dove hunt, we will have a fun sporting clay competition, then end the day with some great BBQ, games, and a live auction! Use the register button to sign up.
Bring your shotgun, eye and ear protection, ammunition, hunting chair, drinks/snack while dove hunting and current hunting license.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
1:00 pm - Registration Opens for Sporting Clay Competition and Doors Open
1:30 pm - Sporting Clay Competition begins (All Sporting Clay Shooters will start at this time) See Sporting Clays Field below-
3:30 pm - Dove Hunters Arrive and Check In at the main barn at Strawberry Pines, 1287 W, FM476, Poteet, TX 78065
4 pm - Safety Orientation. Dove hunting begins as soon as the orientation is complete. Hunters will need to provide transportation into the field or plan to ride with other hunters. UTV's are permitted. NO 4-Wheelers!
7 pm - Dinner served starting at 7:00.
8:00 pm - Awards and Raffle drawings begin. There will be guns, hunts, and hunting merchandise to be given away in the raffle.
New Rules Apply: NO GLASS BOTTLES - Cans and Plastic only
Sporting Clays Shoot- NEW THIS YEAR, we are setting up a walk through field with 8 Stations where each team will start at a different stand. This will allow shooters to be more interactive and get through shooting much quicker. Each participant will shoot 3 true pairs at 7 stations and 4 true pairs at 1 station, for a total of 50 clay targets. If your team cannot make the 1 pm start time, please contact Kevin Potts at 210-372-3580. All team members must shoot together, no exceptions.
There will be prizes for: (4) Man Team Champion, (4) Man Team Runner-up, (Individual) High Over All Champion, (Individual) HOA Runner Up, Youth Champion (18 years and younger), 1st Place Lady HOA Champion
