Youth Duck Hunt (Boys Ages 12+) Trinity River Ranch

Who can participate: This youth only outing for young men ages 12 to 18. Kids must be mature enough to operate a shotgun without assistance, wade through water to set and pickup decoys. Kids 16 years old or older must have state and federal duck stamps and must provide their own ammunition. Waders or hip boots are required for this hunt. We will have a few pair to loan out.  

Where: This duck hunt outing at Trinity River Ranch near Oakwood. However if there are no ducks there, the hunt will be in Rockport, TX. Pickup and drop off available from NE & NW San Antonio.

What to bring: Participants will need a current youth hunting license (available at Academy, Walmart, HEB, etc. for $7). Kids 16 years or older will need to get  a federal and state duck stamps, which can also be purchased where hunting licenses are sold. CTO has all the gear needed for the outings, kids just need to bring clothes, toiletries, headlamp, sleeping bag and pillow. A more detailed packing list will be sent out with the liability paperwork.

Cost: The cost for this outing is $60 for CTO Members and $80 for non-members. Scholarship funds are available for those in need.
